Clam Chowder

Clams, bacon, and onions flavor this tasty chowder.

Ingredients

5 pieces bacon, chopped

1 large onion, minced

2 cans clams - minced and drained (save juices)

1 small can stewed tomatoes

1 can undiluted tomato soup

1 1/2 tablespoon butter

2 cups whole milk

spices and seasonings such as marjoram, thyme, sage or whatever you think sounds good

3 potatoes

Instructions

Sauté onions and bacon until limp. Add potatoes and clam juice. Add water to cover. Bring to boil covered till potatoes are tender. Add clams. Turn heat down low. Add butter and milk. To season add pinches of thyme, celery seed, sweet basil, 3 shakes celery salt, 3 shakes dill weed, ground pepper, couple dashes of Tabasco sauce, 2 dashes Lawry's seasoning salt or spike, dash of Worcestershire sauce, pinch of rosemary, pinch of marjoram. Dust with paprika.
