You can put out a jar of tapenade with crouton and cherry tomatoes and let people just dip in the bowl.

Buy tasty olives in cans or bottles that are already pitted. You are adding so many goodies to the olives that you can't mess up the taste and it cuts the preparation time to less than 10 minutes.

Green Olive Tapenade

A simple and delicious green olive tapenade.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups (250 grams) pitted green olives

3/4 cup (100 grams) slivered almonds

1 tablespoon capers

8 anchovy filets (or to taste), oil packed

olive oil

Instructions

Put all the ingredients except the olive oil in a bowl and mash with a plunger mixer and then add the olive oil until it is the desired consistency. The original recipe says to finely chop the olives and almonds together. Put the anchovies, olive oil, and the capers in a mortar and mash to a paste then add to the olive mixture.
