An excellent pie for Thanksgiving dessert.

Pecan Pie

Classic Pecan Pie.

Ingredients

3/4 cup pecan halves

3/4 cup pecan, chopped finely

5 tablespoons butter

1 teaspoon vanilla

3/4 cup sugar

3 eggs, well beaten

1/2 cup dark corn syrup

1/2 cup light corn syrup

1/8 teaspoon salt

9-inch pie shell

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

2. Cream butter with vanilla and sugar. Add one egg at a time blending well after each addition. Thoroughly blend in chopped pecans and corn syrups and salt.

3. Turn into unbaked piecrust and bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Arrange pecan halves on top of pie filling. Reduce heat to 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes or until a knife comes out clean when inserted in the middle.

Serve with sweetened whip cream.
