Sausage Bean Chowder

A hearty winter chowder with kidney beans, potatoes and sausage.

Ingredients

1 pound bulk sausage

2 cups (16 ounces) kidney beans

1 LB 13 ounces can tomatoes

1 quart water

1 large onion, chopped

1/2 green bell pepper, chopped

1 bay leaf

1 1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt

1/2 teaspoon garlic salt

1/2 teaspoon thyme

Pepper to taste

1 cup potatoes, diced

Instructions

Brown the sausage. Add the remaining ingredients. Cook approximately 1 hour.
